A really relaxing holiday staying at Hawes in Wensleydale for a holiday in the Yorkshire Dales. Centrally located to explore the sites of the Yorkshire Dales national park. Sam managed to get attacked by a sheep and I managed to try out the new drone, so not all bad.

With a wealth of waterfalls ands stunning scenery, to going 1/2 a mile underground at White Scar Cave, we even managed to find a working sheepdog demonstration. Aysgarth Falls waterfalls, where Kevin Costner got dumped in the water by Little John was nearby, yet many miles from where we live in Nottingham – Robin Hood is from Nottingham not Yorkshire. It does make a for a relaxing time sitting by thundering waterfalls. Ingleton Waterfalls Trail is a 4.5 mile route across the English countryside, described as a must-see and “strenuous” and we can certainly describe it as strenuous. The guide recommends 2.5 to 4 hours to complete this 4.5 mile circular route , yet my phone recorded 18 billion steps. it might 4.5 miles as the crow flies, but it certainly feels much more. The bizarre rock formation of Brimham Rocks, where an emergency air ambulance landed next to us to the heady heights of the Coldstones Cut, a Yorkshire Dales holiday has it all.
